Despite Zoom being down on the first day of school, police brutality issues resurfacing, and workplace inequities becoming more noticeable in various industries, our second cohort of first-time founders are using their skills, resources, and will power to create innovative solutions that combat some of the world’s toughest current issues.

The decision to pivot the Square One Startup School program to be 100% virtual has allowed us to create an online community with no boundaries or borders, bringing in influential startup experts, entrepreneurs, and partners from all over the nation to help us support and train our second cohort of founders on their path to changing the world.

Here’s what our founders had to say:

“I have learned so much over these 10-weeks. It’s hard to put it into words, you have to really experience it for yourself. The facilitation has been best in class, the training has been simply magnificent, and the relationships they’re priceless…

Going through this program has given me the confidence and the knowledge that I need to move forward and take Huddle to only what my mind can imagine.” – Nikki Forman, Founder of Huddle

The Showcase

Our main objective for this program is to help first-time founders validate their ideas, get their first paying customers, and scale in the most equity-efficient way possible and that’s exactly what this group has done!

For our second Startup Showcase, we had attendees from around the world tune in to help us celebrate Cohort 2 reaching key milestones which included securing a pilot with a major corporation, building their first product, and announcing their public beta.

This one-of-a-kind virtual event was more than your average demo day but instead it highlighted founders taking a stance against police brutality (Patrick Anderson II, RotoCop), workplace inequities (Nikki Forman, Huddle & Kathryn De Shields-Moon, Divertega), lack of teacher development (Jen Owen, Co-Created), and lack of access to affordable healthcare (Dedren Snead, Health Valet).
